Colon/Rectal Cancer

Factors associated with this kind of cancer are:

• A lack of dietary fiber and calcium
• Having polyps to the point of needing them removed
• A family history of colon cancer
• Bouts of continued constipation and/or diarrhea
• A buildup of toxins in the colon and/or rectal area
• A diet too high in fiber, which can irritate the colon and/or rectal area

Symptoms include rectal bleeding, blood in the stool, changes in bowel habits, such as persistent constipation or diarrhea.

When you check with your doctor, he or she will want to know what the consistency of your stool is. Here's a chart they use:
