Factors that indicated increased risk of contracting this form of cancer are:

• More than five pregnancies
• First intercourse before the age of eighteen
• A history of gonorrhea or genital warts
• Many sexual partners
• Infertility

Symptoms may show themselves as bleeding between menstrual periods, unusual discharge, any painful menstrual periods, and heavy periods that could be a sign of hemorrhage.
