The largest risk factor in testicular cancer is undescended testicle(s).
Other risk factors include
- Exposure to radiation factors
- Wearing (as a baby) of disposable diapers
- Wearing briefs (as opposed to boxers, or nothing at all)
It is simple to inspect one's testicles and note any lumps, enlargement of
one or both of the testicles, any thickening of the scrotum, any sudden
collection of fluid in the scrotum, pain or discomfort in a testicle or both
testicles, or the scrotum itself. Be aware of any mild ache in the lower abdomen
or groin, enlargement or tenderness of your breasts.
